Kindly help Sathiah Devi and her sisters whose parent committed suicide recently

Sathiah Devi is in her 5th year of Medical Degree and from Sitiawan. She has two other sisters, one of whom is in UNISEL (on a PTPTN loan) and another in secondary school. She lost her father in a road accident some time ago and the only source of monetary and moral support was her mother. The mother went through a hard life in supporting them all. The mother went into severe depression recently due to the financial burden finding herself unable to support these bright girls and she decided to end her misery and committed suicide by hanging herself.

Sathiah and her sisters are now left on their own. She has another one and half years to go. She is doing her medical degree in Lugansk State Medical University, Ukraine. For a while I thought she went to an unrecognized university, but upon checking with my friends at the Malaysian Medical Council, the medical college is unrecognized but students from the University can practice in Malaysia after they take and pass the Malaysian Qualifying Examination (MQE) under the Section 12 (1) (aa) of the Medical Act,1971. They can have as much as 3 tries for the examination.

They didnt know it was not recognized until they were already there. The cost of being naive is huge here. These 3 sisters now have to live on their own as it seems no relative has come forward to help them out. Sathiah is unsure now about her future as she doesn't have the money for her studies.

We all spend money for so many things in our lives and they all do not necessarily leave any tangible things after the money is spent. Here is an opportunity for us to help some of our worthy fellow beings and to do something with our money that will leave some results. Please pass this message around and with many of us trying to do a little, we can make it significant and help these three compatriots feel that they are not alone in this world.

Sritharan's statements

I have contacted Sathiah Devi's phone number above and found out some facts about her case.

Sathiah Devi said that:-

She didn't get PTPTN loan because they were allocated to students from local universities.

She didn't get MIED loan because the Lugansk State Medical University in Ukraine is not recognized by the government.

Sritharan asks all of you to think:-

Let's not forget that Datuk Sothinathan from MIC fought for the recognition of a medical university in Ukraine in the past and got suspended in that process!

I sincerely and humbly request all the Malaysians regardless of race and religion to donate at least RM 1 to this poor lady and her sisters. I believe that their financial burden can be reduced greatly if we take the initiative to help them! Please don't be stingy and calculative in helping others because by helping these poor unprivileged people, we will get good rewards (pahala) from god and a place in heaven.

Thank you.
